Hedy Perna and husband Patrick are celebrating 30 years as owners of the Perna Dance Center in Hazlet, New Jersey. Hedy has created a non-competitive business model for her school. With her faculty and staff of seventeen she produces up to twenty performance opportunities annually.  Her school enrolls nearly 500 students and is constantly active with innovative programs and ideas. Hedy is also an expert at organizing families, dancers and her staff as they journey across the country performing at theme parks, sports arenas and benefits. Her creative concepts for recitals, props, and show time organization have made her a favorite speaker among school owners across the United States and Canada.

She has initiated two dance festivals: the SunDance Festival for Carnival Cruise Lines and DanceFest Six Flags Great Adventure.  In addition, she has presented at various conventions and workshops across the country and is also President Emeritus of Associated Dance Teachers of NJ and a lifelong member of Dance Educators of America, also having a certification from their training school.  Most of all she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, Liza.
