Michelle Rogers Miller Street Dance Academy

Michelle Rogers is a native of North Carolina and a graduate of UNC Charlotte. Her school, Miller Street Dance Academy was established in 1994 with 21 students in Pineville, NC on a little street named Miller Street. With a focus on quality service and instruction, as well as on family values with age-appropriate movement, choreography and music, her business has grown to two locations in Charlotte, NC and Fort Mill, SC with an enrollment of more than 2000 students.

Her business savvy and leadership quality have propelled her to become one of the most respected school owners in the country. She has shared her strategies for building strong morale and dedication among her more than 35 employees who are teaching and managing numerous classrooms across 2 states. Her programs, performances and philosophy are progressive and always evolving to better serve her community and expand the Miller Street brand.

She is a member of Carolina Dance Masters, Dance Educators of America, Dance Masters of America and USA Gymnastics.

Michelle was named one of the 2011 Top 50 Influential Area Women by Mecklenburg Times, a  Leading Link Ladies by Charlotte Radio Station 107.9, chosen as the winner of The Business Journal’s “40 Under 40″ Business Leaders, and a finalist for the Channel 9 “Nine Who Care” award. In 2014, Michelle was the Circle of Hope Honoree, an award presented to dancers who are currently battling or have survived cancer that allows them to re-gift a $2,500 endowment to another charity organization of their choice. Most recently she was appointed to serve as a National Ambassador for Circle of Hope.

Her philanthropic efforts have raised close to a million dollars for organizations dedicated to assisting children with cancer and funding for cancer research. She is married and the proud mom of 16 year old Natalie who is an accomplished dancer.
